Diary Entry for June 26, 2026 at 8:55 PM

While driving out today, I thought about my life and the essence thereof.

This led me to some humble moments of prayer and devotion to God.

I said words like —

I surrender my life to you, Jesus

I give you my heart

Take me, use me

Let me be useful for your kingdom

Let me be a tool for you

At some point, it felt like I was saying the prayer of salvation – but I wasn’t unsaved.

I had given my heart to Christ since 2005.

Then I realized those words are not for Sinners alone, but for all who will daily dedicate their minutes and moments unto God.

In fact, I sang the Hymn – Take My Life, and Let It Be

1 Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
let them flow in endless praise,
let them flow in endless praise.

This does not imply I have been taking back my life from Christ and giving it back continually; it’s just coming to a place of submission over and over again.

Paul says to offer ourselves unto God as a living sacrifice – if the sacrifice will be living, then it has to be a daily affair.

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
