Hey,
How have you been?
I am sending my newsletter later than usual.
This week has been so busy for me – myself and my wife had a baby.
So here is why I am here today, do you keep all your eggs in a basket?
Any logical person would say ‘No’. of course, that makes more sense.
In fact, Eccl. 11:1 says to cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days. With this, a Christian might justify having more than one basket but when we look carefully we see that that is just one basket. You’ll see how very soon.
As Christians, we are supposed to put all of our eggs in one basket. In fact, all of my eggs are in one basket. What is the basket? Jesus Christ!
I don’t have Plan Bs, if I do, it’s all in Jesus.
For instance, if I was praying out some stuff and it’s not forthcoming, plan B will be to fast.
All of my options are in Christ. When I pray for healing, I don’t have ‘Hospital’ as a plan B.
So I persist until I win. I stand until I get the result the Word of God has promised. I have seen this happen over and over in my life and I always win.
If I need some money, I work, I pray, listen to the Holy Spirit for direction, pray again, work again until I achieve what I want. No alternatives.
Living this way forces me to live on the edge and that gives me an edge…lol
I don’t stay in the comfortable place, I stay in the place of persistence, resistance, and wrestling and that is where true comfort lies.
God desires that we come into a place of absolute trust, reliance, and dependency on Him.
And that happens only when we see God as the only option.
When His word becomes the only truth. When is Word the ultimate, regardless of what people think.
It’s a place where logic doesn’t count, it becomes useless.
A position where you don’t care whether you make sense to people or not.
I have been in this position many time, from my teenage till now.
You will look stupid but eventually be the wisest to the same people who saw you as stupid.
When you begin to live like this, you experience the realities of God the most.
I can remember once falling terribly ill while I started learning about Divine Healing. I had shared my thoughts with some brethren so I decided I was going to make sure the word I knew worked.
The longer I waited, the sicker I became. At some point, brethren bought drugs for me, I refused it. So they said well ‘What of Agbo – (herbal medicine)’ since it was natural. I refused that as well. I somehow managed to go on a walk and I had a chat with Jesus.
He explained what the issue was to me. I was trying to receive healing with my Faith and it wasn’t working, that I should receive healing with His faith. And that was it. I got healed at that instance. This happened to me many years ago, I have several other stories but I’ll tell you one I heard from Curry Blake. Curry Blake is someone I learn so much about healing from.
Curry told a story about some Zionites many many years ago. These people literally had an estate where they lived. They stayed together and believed only in Divine Healing. To live with them, you had to share their belief. Their doctrine was so strong that if one of them was shot with a gun, they would carry the person into the room and pray until each bullet was out of the person’s body. And that worked for them.
Am I saying you should do the same? No!
I am only showing you an example of how your only option apart from God can be ‘No option’.
Dare to put your eggs in one basket and see how God will never fail you.
Beyond what I have written, May the Holy Spirit expand these words in your heart.
